This year's Oasis Academy Mayfield Carol Concert took place at the recently restarted St Andrews Church in Sholing. The evening concert included traditional carol singing and performance contributions from Academy students,with a stunning rendition of Pie Jesus by Katie Downer and some beautiful singing by the Academy's Glee Club.  Guest contributions came from Academy Council Chair, Billy Kennedy; Chaplain, Paul Woodman; Methodist Superintendent Terry Hudson and Oasis Founder, Steve Chalke -  pictured below with Principal John Toland.  Steve Chalke MBE encouraged people to look again at the Christmas story and talked about how the message of Christ had brought about a revolution in his life. He spoke about the work of Stop the Traffik and his own hope that the message in Christmas of hope and freedom would impact the lives of those being trafficked and caught in slavery.
