CLEAR (City Life Education & Action for Refugees)

 

In 2001, CLEAR (City Life Education and Action for Refugees) was initiated to work with refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton. CLEAR is a registered working name of the charitable company. CLEAR aims to improve the quality of life for refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton, providing free advice and supporting people in accessing local services to which they are entitled. We believe in empowerment through education, and in practical action to support established and developing refugee communities.

  

CLEAR runs an Advice and Guidance centre, which opens 3 days each week for refugees; runs ESOL classes each week, three at Beginners level and two at Improvers level; offers business and access to education; we have a drop-in and befriending project for refugees.
