ESOL For Beginners

CLEAR provides an ESOL for Beginners class (English for Speakers of Other Languages).

CLEAR ESOL for Beginners is a free ten week course for absolute beginner speakers of English, with three 2-hour sessions a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. The course runs all year round.

Students are asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and their family members. When space allows, we also take people from other minority ethnic groups.

We specialise in helping learners who cannot read or write in their first language.

Students attend until they are ready to move on to an Entry Level 1 class. They often do the course several times in order to build up their skills and confidence.

ESOL for Entry Levels 1–3

CLEAR hosts courses on a limited basis for students at Entry Levels 1 – 3. All students are assessed before being advised which class they should attend.

Assessments are taking place fortnightly for Entry Level 1-3 and Level 1. Phone 023 8022 1111 to arrange an appointment for assessment.
