Macedonia

Jimmy Polycarp from Nigeria has planted several churches in the villages of Macedonia. The churches have hosted teams from City Life Church led by Malcolm Milligan. The churches have developing leadership teams and are becoming established. David and Dragona are now leading the church in Sriveni Bregovi while Marian and Dobrinka are taking more responsibility in Oblesevo.

At Sriveni Bregovi (pictured), a blind Albanian woman was miraculously healed of blindness in 2007. Jesus appeared in a vision to her in her kitchen and she was healed. She is now a key member at the church which has been planted in the village. In 2010, a visiting team prayed for her son, who also found peace and healing when he was prayed for. Currently, we are looking at how we can support the church to get water to the community for crops. Raising money for the necessary pipework ihappened recently and the work has now been completed - thank you to everyone who contributed and prayed. In the last team visit, we visited around 7 churches all across Macedonia, which have all grown significantly in the year . The team brushed up a “witness of stones” that had been laid last year on a hill, which in large white letters say “Jesus loves you” and points back down to the town. On Palm Sunday, the team encouraged the church team from Luke 19 that “even the stones will cry out” the witness and praise to God and they were encouraged to similarly mark other hills in Macedonia.
