Students
Students are an integral part of City Life Church with many actively involved in Connect Groups, or serving on one of the many teams or in a Missional Community.
Our desire is to build students into the life of the church, growing in faith and serving the overall vision but also to see them equipped, encouraged and released to bring the Kingdom of God, through their lives, onto the University campus, into halls and into their lectures.
At the start of the academic year we run 'Welcome Lunches' so that those new to the church (including students) have an opportunity to find out more about the church, ask questions but more importantly meet some of the existing church members. These sessions are held on a Sunday after the church meeting and run throughout October – we also run 'Welcome Lunches' every few months outside of these times, please come and talk to us for more details.
Many students are often away from home for the first time and dealing with life can sometimes be hard, and lonely. We run an 'adopt a student' scheme and have families and others in the church available to provide a home cooked meal, a welcome and a listening ear. This can be a simple one off or a more regular mentoring style relationship. If you would like to be paired up with some people in the church please click here!
There is a student team, that regularly put on events and activities for students and those in the 20-30s age range - these happen monthly on Saturdays (and occasionally Sundays). We also try to create regular connecting points where we can simply catch up over a drink, or food. You can keep up to date with everything that is happening with students at City Life by joining the Facebook group by clicking here.
There are a few Connect Groups that are run specifically for students – as well as several others that focus on other areas of taking God's love to others, which we would encourage you to get involved with - it is definitely the best way to become part of the church, and feel connected, supported and encouraged to live for God on campus! For more details please join the Facebook group or contact the student team.
