Local Projects
City Life Church is very involved in a few local projects here in Southampton, including support for refugees, the homeless and vulnerably housed, and also working with Street Pastors. There are also links to the local charities that City Life supports at the bottom of the page.

Twice a week, teams from the church take food and soup in the evenings to people sleeping rough in the local area. Several of our church family also help run a community café from 5-6pm every Sunday at Central Hall. This is attended by many people including those living on the streets.
In 2001, CLEAR (City Life Education and Action for Refugees) was initiated to work with refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton. CLEAR aims to improve the quality of life for refugees and asylum seekers in Southampton, providing free advice and supporting people in accessing local services to which they are entitled. More...

 Mustard Supported Lodgings
The Mustard Supported Lodgings Project envisions, empowers and equips Christian households in the Southampton area who feel called to offer lodging accommodation and committed relationships to vulnerable homeless young people and to support them practically and emotionally towards a more successful and fulfilling future.
The Gate aims to make lifestyle change possible by offering friendship, support, prayer and spiritual guidance to those involved in the sex industry and their families. Women enter prostitution for many different reasons. Drug and alcohol addictions, loneliness, debt, bereavement and experiencing different types of abuse are common factors. Many start at a young age and some were groomed into prostitution and sadly it can become the only known lifestyle to them. The Gate works alongside people to change their lifestyle. This can be a long process...building confidence; overcoming addictions; learning to budget; coping with calm and forming healthy relationships are all issues that face the women who are supported.
