It’s important that we know who we are, but also whose we are.
Colossians 1:15-20 (TPT)
These verses explore the greatness of who God is and provide a sense of enormity of the one who created everything. This God made Himself known to us in fullness in Christ. Later in the letter we read that Christ is in us, the hope of glory! The Passion Translation puts it this way in verse 27:
Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!
God made the invisible, visible in Jesus, and through the resurrected Christ living in us makes known the fullness of God through the church. His glory resides in us in order that we can make Him known to the world.
