Daily Encouragement: 6 June 2020, Southampton
Jim reminds us that world needs hope and transformation - which we carry as disciples of Jesus. The world's solutions to racism, inequality and injustice seek to manage and changing behaviour or offering token gestures. All this does is plaster over the cracks. In order to see real change we need to see transformed hearts. Some pruning to remove things that sap our energy may be necessary to ensure our energies are poured into that which bears good fruit. WE may too need to prune the brittle, inflexible branches in order to be redirected and retrained to better fulfil our purpose.
What we carry is the hope for the world and we need to ensure we remain flexible and fruitful!
