Organisation
City Life Church is a charitable company (Charity Number: 1100602; Company Number 4913171). The church has a board of directors and the church is a part of the spiritconnect network of churches.
The church employs two full-time leaders, a student worker and administrative staff. The church has also set up a project called CLEAR that supports asylum seekers and refugees in Southampton. Several people are employed by the church to work on this social action project.
Leadership
Bev Webb and Paul Woodman lead the church and are part of the church's board of charity directors. The other directors are Paul Leppitt, Pauline Pink and Matt Harrison.
The church has a structure of small groups called cells. Cell group leaders take responsibility for their small group and meet together monthly with the leadership team.
There are appointed leaders of groups for children and youth. These leaders are trained and checked for their suitability for working with vulnerable people.
Church Network
The church is part of the Pioneer network of Churches, and specifically links with the SpiritConnect network of chuches led by John and Christine Noble. Bev Webb and Paul Woodman meet regularly with other churches in the network and also meet with regularly with Christine Noble to receive apostolic oversight and support.
Accounts
Our accounts are audited by the Independent Examiners Ltd, Chichester.
We present the overall accounts to the church at least once a year. The church trustees meet on a regular basis to oversee income and expenditure.
The activities of City Life Church are mainly funded through free will contributions from its members. The church is also supported by many businesses and trusts for the charitable work of the church in Southampton and overseas.
