Guest Room

Our guest room shows all the compassionate and innovative ways we are working to help people feel welcome in the city and have a place to stay.

A room for everyone means that we want to always have in mind those that don’t have a home or feel welcome. We have three ways in which we welcome people into our guest room.

New to the church

Welcome to City Life Church. We are a friendly and vibrant church in Southampton. We would love to see you connect with us and get involved in some of the fantastic things we do. Our regular activities range from weekly Kids & Families events to a monthly reflective evening of worship and creativity. There is lots going on and what brings us together is our love for God and one another.

New to the country

Welcome to the UK! Southampton is a designated City of Sanctuary so whether you’ve come here for education, work or to find a place of refuge, we want to help make you feel welcome here!

We have three large projects helping people who are new to the country.

CLEAR (City Life Education and Action for Refugees)

This is a city-centre based project helping people with advice, free English classes and practical support.

Some great news! City Life Church awarded over £489,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund to help those in need of refuge.

EU Welcome

EU Welcome exists to provide help and support to migrants in the Southampton area from the EU and other European countries.

“Our Philosophy at EU Welcome is to help our clients help themselves. We want to see EU migrants functioning as a well-integrated part of Southampton society.”

We have worked with Caritas and ResetUK and successfully applied to the Home Office to set up a Community Sponsorship home in Southampton. This is part of a national refugee resettlement programme and enables our church to welcome a refugee family into our local area and support them as they rebuild their lives here in the UK. It’s a practical response to the mass displacement of people across the world due to war and persecution. We are pleased to have the support of Southampton City Council to run this programme.
