Living Room

Our living room is a place to belong and feel welcome

As a church family, we don’t meet in one place and at a set time every Sunday, we are exploring living out daily, weekly, monthly and termly ‘rhythms’, restoring our relationships with God, rediscovering the heart of who He really is, and creating time for rest in order to draw closer to Him.

How we gather…

We encourage everyone to build daily rhythms of prayer. For those that wish, we have a daily 6am prayer gathering on zoom. Contact us for the link.

We have groups that meet weekly in person and online across the City. You are very welcome to visit these groups by finding them here. We provide resources for adults and for families monthly, following a pattern of Grow, Serve, Invite, Worship.

Every 2nd Sunday we encourage people to gather for teaching in their homes, which can be found on our Churchcenter App and on our resources page.

Every 4th Sunday we meet at St Albans Church, Tulip Road, Southampton at 4pm for a time of All Age worship, testimony and connection.

The remaining Sundays are left open and allow space for connection and prayer together, to be missional, practice hospitality with one another and with those beyond the church.

We gather at the beginning of each term at St Albans church, Tulip Road, Southampton, at 6pm for a teaching series overview. An evening to connect and get inspired about how God wants to speak to us during our teaching theme.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Our personal and corporate rhythms  allow space for us to

  • Grow in our understanding of Jesus & His word, as well as  deepen our relationships with Him

  • Serve those around us in accordance with Jesus’ example and instruction

  • Invite others into meaningful discipling relationships, sharing hospitality & life with those Jesus leads us to invite.
  • Worship God in Spirit and in truth, both inside and out of a corporate context.

Youth Group

The youth group is for 11-17 year olds on Sundays from 5-6pm. Together they have fun, make friends, and find out more about faith.

Drop us a line for more information – Contact Us.

We also partner with Young Life International in their work to reach out to teenagers in Southampton.

Small Groups

City Life has many different Small groups. These include prayer groups, a Youth group, study groups and Connect Groups.  There are also other more informal ‘friends/parents of’ groups that build relationship around the different children’s groups that form part of our Shine community.

Connect Groups

As well as being a place of belonging and care, Connect Groups provide serving opportunities where everyone’s gift and contribution can be shared. They are the main way of connecting with our communities and sharing God’s love. Small groups use teaching materials from Sunday Celebrations to grow in God and share the vision of City Life.
